Tradition – Kitchens

1. Introduction
Welcome to Tradition. These Terms and Conditions govern all contracts for the supply of bespoke kitchens and furniture and associated services provided by Tradition to you, the client. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Design & Quotation
2.1 All initial design work is subject to a £300 non-refundable design fee, payable upfront prior to any detailed drawings or layouts being produced. This fee will be deducted from your final invoice should you proceed with an order.
2.2 All designs remain the intellectual property of Tradition until full payment is received for both products and services.
2.3 Quotations are valid for 30 days and may be subject to revision after this period.
2.4 Amendments to design or scope after quotation may result in additional charges.
3. Orders & Payments
3.1 A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order and begin production.
3.2 The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full prior to delivery.
3.3 For larger or more complex projects (e.g., full kitchen installations), a staged payment structure may apply:
- 50% deposit upon order confirmation
- 25% interim payment at an agreed midway point in production
- Final 25% payment due prior to delivery
3.4 All payment schedules will be clearly outlined in your order summary or contract.
3.5 Ownership of all goods remains with Tradition until full payment is received.
3.6 Late Payments: We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. A fixed late payment compensation fee may also apply. Work may be suspended or delivery withheld until payment is made.
4. Lead Times & Delivery
4.1 Estimated lead times will be confirmed upon order but are subject to change due to material availability or supplier delays.
4.2 We will notify you of any significant delays, but we cannot accept liability for delays outside our control.
4.3 Delivery and/or installation dates are estimates and not guaranteed.
5. Installation
5.1 If we are responsible for installation, your space must be ready (e.g., plumbing, electrics, clear access) by the agreed date.
5.2 If installation is delayed due to site readiness or access issues, we may charge for

6. Materials & Variations
6.1 Due to the bespoke nature of our products, natural variations in materials (e.g., wood grain, stone patterns) may occur and are not considered defects.
6.2 Minor changes in colour or tone between samples and final products may occur due to production variables.
7. Warranty
7.1 We offer a 12-month warranty on our craftsmanship, commencing from the date of completion or delivery.
7.2 This warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, improper care, or unauthorised alterations.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
8.1 Because our products are made to order, cancellations after deposit payment may result in loss of deposit and additional costs depending on the stage of manufacture.
8.2 Refunds are not issued for bespoke goods unless the item is defective or not as
described.
9. Liability
9.1 We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from delays, defects, or installation issues.
9.2 Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 All design concepts, drawings, and images remain the property of Tradition unless otherwise agreed in writing.
11. Governing Law
11.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
12. Payment Details
